Our Work
Girl-Child Education
The Girl-Child Education program of Kairos Foundation for Women and Girls supports girls to stay in school, learn in safe environments and dream beyond the limits placed on them.
We work with families, schools and communities to remove barriers like poverty, early marriage and harmful norms, so every girl can complete her education and shape her future.
What this program does
Back-to-school support
Identifying girls who have dropped out or are at risk, and supporting them with fees, uniforms, books or transport to return and remain in school.
Mentoring & clubs
Safe girls’ clubs and mentoring circles where girls build confidence, learn life skills and talk about issues like safety, health and their dreams.
Engaging families & schools
Working with parents, teachers and community leaders to value girls’ education and reduce practices that keep girls out of school.
Helping girls return and remain in school
Many girls leave school because families cannot afford basic items or because of early marriage, caregiving responsibilities or insecurity. Our team works with schools and communities to identify these girls and remove practical barriers.
Through targeted support, more girls are able to sit in class again, catch up on learning and see education as a real pathway to a better future.
Building confidence through clubs and mentoring
In girls’ clubs, participants learn about their rights, health, leadership and goal setting through fun, interactive activities. Mentors guide them on how to manage school pressure, peer influence and challenges at home.
These safe spaces help girls to find their voice, support one another and see themselves as leaders in their schools and communities.
