Our Work
Woman Rights and Gender Justice
This program of Kairos Foundation for Women and Girls focuses on helping women and girls know their rights, stay safe and access support when they face violence or discrimination.
Through safe spaces, rights awareness, counselling and referrals, we walk with survivors, families and communities to challenge harmful practices and promote dignity and justice.
What this program does
Rights awareness
Community talks, school clubs and small group sessions that teach women and girls about their rights, available laws and where to get help.
Survivor support
Quiet, confidential support for survivors of abuse, including basic counselling and referrals to trusted health, legal and shelter services.
Community advocacy
Working with leaders, parents, faith groups and youth to challenge harmful norms and promote safe, just communities for women and girls.
Safe spaces for open conversations
In our safe space circles, women and girls talk openly about violence, harmful practices, early marriage and other issues that affect them. Facilitators use simple language, story‑telling and activities to build trust and confidence.
Many participants share that this is the first time they have been able to speak freely and be believed, which is a powerful first step towards healing and justice.
Standing with survivors of violence
Trained team members provide one‑to‑one support, safety planning and accompaniment so survivors are not alone when seeking help from clinics, police or courts.
With consent, we also engage families and community structures to reduce stigma and encourage protection instead of blame or silence.
